Location: Pearson Hill Rd. (Tionesta) Time: 9:30 P.M. Written By: Alex McCann The second night of the Tionesta trip had a lot of expectations to live up to after a very uneventful first night. We headed to a new area in a last ditch effort to get something to happen. It did not disappoint. After we called a few times, a response came firing back at us from close range. The response was recorded and it will be uploaded to the site soon! The best way to describe it is a high pitched shriek. Originally, we were very skeptical that it was an owl, hawk, or some type of bird. However, after looking at nearly every bird sound from this particular region there isn't any that sound like the vocalization we recorded. There were a few birds that were fairly similar, but we are still convinced it isn't bird. It just seemed to have an eerie vibe to it. Another factor that supports the possibility of it being a squatch is that it shut up after replying just once. We tried knocks and whoops several more times, but the culprit wouldn't answer again. Easily one of the best expeditions of the 2013 season so far.
