Location: The Pines Time: 11:30 P.M. Written By: Alex McCann We made our second trip of the season to the main section of Northern Pines. It was a very clear night and it made the visbility level better than we had expected in the dark. We tried another variation of the "dead man" tactic. Two members went to a trail near the main path and another two went across from them and tucked in beside a row of pines. The 5th man went up in elevation to the top section of pines in the area. (About 700 yds. from other groups) He started making extremely loud vocalizations to stir up some action and the farthest group away would occasionally answer. The middle group sat and listened for an hour and a half. The calls all echoed beautifully through the woods and it seemed it would only be a matter of time before something else answered back. However, there was absolutley nothing in the woods that wanted to be discovered that night. Chalk up another one for your typical night of squatching. Members: Stan, Cody, Chase, Brad, Alex
